Asphalt shingles are an old favorite due to versatility and quality. Shingles are warrantied from 30 to 50 years, and all of our installs are “hurricane nailed” with at least 6 nails per shingle. Up to two layers of shingles can be installed on a roof, and they work great on both complex roofs with dormers and valleys or simple designs.
Considered by many to be the “Cadillac” of roofing, we roll out our roofing panels on site and machine lock them together once on the roof with a seamer. Not to be confused with “snap lock,” the double lock is a tighter finish and the fasteners that hold each panel down are hidden under the adjacent panel for a clean, water tight roof
The 35 year warrantied Kynar paint finish and 20 year warrantied galvalume finish hold up through toughweather conditions year after year. Standing seam roofing can be costly, and tends to work best with roofs that have fewer dormers and angles.
Screw down steel is thinner than standing seam, usually coming in 28 gauge or 29 gauge with a 40 year paint warranty. This type of roofing is installed with screws that go through the panels and self-seal with UV resistant, 40 year warrantied rubber grommets.
Larger commercial buildings tend to go with EPDM or TPO roofing. EPDM is a black rubber that is sealed with an adhesive, while TPO is bright white and is “heat welded” together at the seams. EPDM has been around for about 60 years and TPO for about 20.
